Matriculation

Today was a momentous day, one that sticks in the minds of almost every Durham student...and luckily for Trevs students, they get to do it twice!

Matriculation!

Our new students were welcomed into the Trevelyan family on Monday as they filled the SJKH ready for the College Matriculation service. However, you can never have too much of a good thing, and therefore as they are also part of a fantastic University, this could only mean a bigger, louder and more exciting affair.

Prof. Evans, the college Principle, and Dr Latham, our Senior Tutor, escorted 200 Freshers from Trevs, down to Prebends Bridge and up the scenic and leafy route to Durham's beautiful Cathedral.

A buzz of excitement echoed throughout the tribe of students as they awed at the fantastic scenery of their new home town.

The service saw them become an 'official member' of the university, as they are registered into a book containing names of students before them. Again, highlighting the community feel the University provides.

Welcome new Trevelyanites, here's to a lifetime connection with a beautiful place!
